Stevens 1932 Co. Rifles, Shotguns, Pistols
27 pages, over 8 1/2" x 7", paper wrap in full color. New re-print. Illustrated.
By 1932 the Stevens Firearm Company was owned by Savage Arms but it still produced a line of faithful and sturdy firearms. Stevens guns were often the "first gun" of a boy ready to learn the art of shooting and Stevens made a broad range of .22 single shot rifles, shotguns and pistols as well as unadorned double barrel shotguns, and pump and bolt .22s. This catalog lists them all.
"In a little two-story mill at Chicopee Falls, Mass., with a band of twenty hand-picked workers, one horse and one wagon, Joshua Stevens in 1861 founded the sporting arms business that bears his name.
Today [1932] the J. Stevens Arms Company covers acres of property; produces many thousands of shotguns, rifles and pistols; and clings faithfully to the original ideals and high standards of workmanship established by its founder."
