That was our second recent plug. We were also mentioned in the October issue of the American Rifleman.________________________________

THIS IS ONE TOUGH AND HEROIC AIRMAN…
CAPTAIN JOSHUA HAVEMAN, an Air Force flight instructor, was ascending Yosemite’s Half Dome when a fellow climber slid down about 80 feet. He landed on a 6 by 1 ½ foot ledge which prevented a fall of 500 feet. Despite intense winds, Haveman stepped beyond the trail’s cable barriers to help him. The climber’s legs were broken in the fall, so Haveman gathered sticks and turned them into splints. Then Haveman and a ranger helped him descend a cable ladder before a helicopter arrived. Haveman says his military training taught him to be on the lookout for situations like this one. “ I knew people were going to be in trouble as soon as I topped the hill.”

I bought Burkhard’s Fall & Winter 1930-31 (St. Paul, MN) off you because you said it had trapping supplies but it doesn’t give instructions on how to use a hanging tree trap. You should tell people what you are selling. Bruce Carstairs
Hello Bruce, Uh, it doesn’t tell you how to use a what? Sounds like something out of a period western movie and something any sensible weasel should try to avoid. Anyway, we can’t add what a catalog does not include to our descriptions. That would be impossible. Rob for cornellpubs
Rob, you know where you can shove it.
Calm yourself Bruce, Cheers, Rob

Ref: Stoeger Luger .22 Manual c1969 (English) – Does this come in booklet form or just copied pages? Thanks pf-classics (ebay)
Hello, That is a difficult question. If my memory serves me, the original was folded at the cover and then they enclosed some other pages about the revolver. We bound all the pages together. You could fold it as the original if you wish, but please understand, this is a reprint not a perfect display copy that could be mistaken for an original. Rob for cornellpubs

Hi Scott, I sent you another copy of the Lyman using wetransfer.com. The file is too big to send by email. Hope this solves your problem. Cheers, Abby

Hi! I made a mistake on order #76033. I need the Stevens 1907 Arms Company Catalog No. 52 printed instead of the Stevens 1909 Firearms General Catalog & Component Parts No. 52 (revised) catalog. It is a gift for someone and I need your professionally done copy instead of printing it. Can you make the change for me or do I need to do something else? Thank you for your time. Dennis
Hello Dennis – I will change the item for 1909 Stevens to the 1907 Stevens. We will process this tomorrow since today is a day off. Let me know if there is anything else you want changed. Regards Abby

Hi Abby, I’m looking for the Polish version manual foe the NSP-3 night vision scope. Is this something you can help me with? Thanks! mkswizz
Hello wizz… As much as we would like to help you, we just can’t go looking for things. Try a Google search and if that doesn’t work check back with us now and then to see if we have added the “Bargain Bin” to the website. It might be in that lot of 7000 manuals. Cheers, Rob
Hi, I have been searching for the manual for about a year now. I’ve tried all the web searches and forums, but to no avail. When I received your most recent email, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask you. If you have it great, if not, no worries. Don’t think I tried to employ you in my search. I was simply asking if you had it.

Just wanted to say I couldn’t agree more with Rob Mouat’s piece on collecting and preserving old firearms (December Newsletter). I could sit for hours and just stare at these old firearms. Waiting for them to talk to me. Lol.Telling me their life experience. Its path down the assembly line, through the hands of many a fine craftsman. Onto its first owner, the service it rendered to those that held this beautiful piece of history. Father to son. Or daughter. Perhaps Grandfather to his grandson or granddaughter. Its travel through the ages. And how fortunate I am that I am now graced with its presence in my hands. Probably more of a conversation piece than that of its former glory days. But hey, I’m just thrilled to death to own some of these beautiful pieces of firearm history! Sincerely, Eric

Rob, Abby, I can’t take it anymore. I had just finished some serious chuckling reading Erik’s tirade (December Newsletter) about your unreasonable denial of his request to drop everything and do some tabletop photography for him when I went on to Dr. Eisenlauer’s time travel back to 1940 or was it 1941? No 1940…clearly 1940..no..maybe.. I actually began diagramming the “issue” to try and better understand it when I realized that I if continued I might start becoming one of your rant-ers…..scary. Hopefully, it’ll be a month or so until your next newsletter- I hope to be fully recovered by then. Cheers, Mike
Thank you Mike. It is really gratifying to hear nice things from customers. I’m really glad you like the newsletter, that makes it worth the time to put it together. Cheers, Rob

Just a short note to thank you for what you do, all the effort you put in that is invaluable to those who collect. May 2024 be fun and fulfilling with less sooks & whingers and more of the ‘good stuff !!” Cheers from “Downunda”, Keith.
Thanks Keith, we appreciate your support, it means a lot to hear good news now and then! Cheers, Abby and Rob

7/12/23 Hi, I ordered from you a manual for a JC Higgins 1955 cira model 60. Order No. 62307. On the 27th October. I have not received it. Would like to know if you have posted it. Cheers. Mrs Acker
7/12/23 Dear Mrs. Acker, You bought a PDF version of the Higgins because we don’t ship overseas any longer. The problem is most countries, including New Zealand, require sellers to collect import duties and taxes, each different, then submit reports and receipts. This is something the two of us are just not prepared to do. That is why the manual cost only $8.22US. I guess you thought it was a print version you bought and didn’t notice the download at the checkout. I’ll send you a new copy using wetransfer.com. If you want a paper copy, take the pdf to an office shop and they can print one for you. Cheers, Rob
1/10/24 Hi, I have lost the pdf file for the Higgins shot gun. Could you please send me another one. I am just the wife and never got round to printing it off. Cheers, Mrs Acker
Hi, Glad to help, please see the attached. Best, Abby

Hi, I recently ordered your reproduction of the Mossberg Guns 1938 Catalog and was very pleased with the quality and clarity of the reproduction. Based on that positive result, we ordered a copy of the Mossberg 1947 Catalog on eBay. That transaction record is included. The 1947 Catalog images were terrible, with no item details visible. We include a sample page of that document as well. Your product list shows catalogs for 1946, 1947, 1948 and 1949. Are any of those reproduced documents as good as the 1938 edition? I would be pleased to order more, if clear copies are available. Kindest regards, Ron
Hi Ron, I am afraid your valid issue is one of my beefs with ebay. They jam so much of their advertising between our title and our descriptions it is difficult to understand what we are selling. Then they mess with the images so you can’t see very well what you are buying, and finally, they blame any confusion on the seller.
For example, the 1947 description says:
15 pages, about 8″ x 11″, glossy soft-cover in full color. New re-print restored and digitally enhanced from an ok photocopy… Printed on high quality 20# 97 bright acid free paper. Fully Illustrated.
as opposed to the 1946 that says:
13 Color pages, about 8 1/2″ x 11″ glossy soft-cover in full color. New re-print restored and digitally enhanced from a nice original. Printed on high quality 20# 97 bright acid free paper. Fully Illustrated.
Here is a link to all the Mossbergs at our website where we don’t have to pay ebay commissions, Hope this helps: https://cornellpubs.com/manufacturer/mossberg-guns/ Cheers, Rob
