A Texas woman was attacked simultaneously by a hawk and snake while mowing her lawn. Peggy Jones was on a riding mower when the snake fell on her, likely dropped b y a passing hawk. As she tried to shake it off the 4 foot reptile, which had coiled around her arm, the hawk swooped down to retrieve its meal, stabbing Jones with its talons. After its fourth dive, the bird flew off with the snake. Covered in blood, Jones rushed to the ER and relayed her story to a doctor, who asked if she was on drugs, ” it was a very bizarre, harrowing experience,:” she said.

Joke of the month club…
A Brazilian man faked his own death to see how many people would attend his funeral. Baltazar Lemos, a ceremonista who conducts funerals, hatched the plan after presiding over a service that drew only two mourners. The 60 year old announced his death via social media. A week later, as friends and family members gathered in a chapel. Lemos stepped out in front of the stunned mourners, whose confusion turned to anger when he explained his motive. Lemos said he had “no intention of hurting, offending or causing any harm to anyone.”

Collecting antique firearms is a fascinating hobby that connects enthusiasts with history. Weapons, each with its own story, offer insight into the evolution of technology and craftsmanship. Collectors value the intricate designs and materials used in crafting these arms. They take pride in preserving and restoring these pieces of history while also adhering to regulations and prioritizing safety. In addition to amassing collections, collectors engage in research, collaborate with historians, and educate others about the historical context and significance of their firearms. The hobby provides a unique window into the past through the lens of weaponry.

Ref: SIG 220, 225, 226, 228, 229, 239, 245 Manual – Hi, Could you please put this manual on the table and take a photo of it and send it to me? I just want to see how it iooks live. You do not need to open it and show the pages. Just put it on a table and take a photo. Please reply. BR, Erik – ernas01: ebay
Erik, I’m sorry, we print to order over 6000 different publications and right now is the busy time of the year, so, no, we can’t do that just now. You can try again after the new year. Scroll down past all the ebay nonsense in the listing to read the description. Cheers, Rob for cornellpubs
The description tells me nothing. I need to see the real product. Because it is a reproduction. So you don’t have it in your hands? Just one photo of it on a table?
No, as I said, we print to order and just don’t have the time to print, bind, photograph and send a photo of a manual we would then throw away, you can read some of our 25,000 feedbacks on eBay to get a better feel for what we do. We maintain no stock of our reprints. Our reprints are for information and use, not for display, so, probably not suitable for your purposes. Regards, Rob (I can just feel a negative feedback, can’t you-ed)

Uh, hmmm. OK I guess you got me. I did reprint the cover as the first page in the Savage catalog. Actually, it costs us money to pay for the printing duplication and postage, but hey, that’s life. I’ll delete the page from the print file. Rob
Whqat RU, some kind of wise guy? I’m going to tell everyone I speak to on all the gun bords how stupid and wise a** you are. I aksed a simple question and you give some stupid answer. Yo’ll never make it in bussiness so give up now.

Hello Reece, I’m sorry, in my haste, I must have printed it twice. Not to worry, just toss it or give it to a friend. We don’t need it back. We print to order and stock none of the 6000+ titles we offer. Happy New Year, Rob for cornellpubs

You sent me a catalog that is mislabeled. I am alerting you to this fact because you may receive future complaints from other purchasers. Not long ago I purchased your “1940 Shooter’s Bible” reprint on ebay. The inside page states this is “Catalog No. 33.” More recently, I happened upon an original Stoeger’s 1940 catalog, and it is numbered “Catalog No. 32.” If a 1940 catalog is indeed number 32, then a 1941 catalog should be #33.. I checked, and this is correct. I then compared the “1940” catalog you sent me with an original 1941 catalog and they are identical, page for page. In short, what you sold me as a 1940 catalog is really a 1941 catalog. In your list of publications you correctly refer to your 1940 reprint as catalog #32, but my copy clearly says catalog #33. It appears you have a certain number of 1940 reprinted catalogs that have the wrong cover on them. Just thought you should know. Dr. Joseph Eisenlauer
Dear Joseph, I want to put this right for you, but first we have some work to figure out what happened. One quick way to check the year is with the image of page 11 below, this is a 1940 page 11. If yours is different, you many indeed have the incorrect insides.
I performed your page 11 test and I can confirm that I have a 1941 catalog with a 1940 cover. Also, I did buy a 1946 (Catalog #37) Stoeger’s reprint from you fairly recently.
Before you go to too much trouble, when and where did you buy the 1940 Stoeger, I think not from us? I believe the last 1940 we sold was to a fellow in Texas on 12/26/22. You did buy a 1946 Stoeger from us in October. So, if your 1940 Stoeger is incorrect and you bought it from a competitor, next time come to us! Cheers and Happy New Year. Rob
I noticed that the 1946 reprint I purchased from you clearly has “Cornell” printed on the binding. The 1940 reprinted catalog I have has no publisher information on it at all. I just assumed I purchased this from you since I have bought (on ebay) several other reprinted items from you in the past. I must be in error. Perhaps I picked up this supposed 1940 reprint at a gun store or gun show. In any case, I think the mystery has been solved. Sorry to bother you with this issue. For your reference, I have attached some photos of my 1940 reprint, which I now feel was produced by someone else.
Yes, indeed, that is not ours. I’ve seen it before, in fact, I have one somewhere. As you note the bindings are entirely different and the cover is wrong too. Please let us know if you need a correct 1940 or ’41. By the way, if you can use our website for purchases it saves us a ton of money eBay charges in fees and commissions. By the way, here is a link to all the Sotegers we reprint starting with the 1926! Cheers, Rob

I have a NR Davis 16 ga double shotgun I am looking for any info on this gun such as age parts illustration etc the number on the gun is 49 thanks. Robert Toppet
Hello Robert, If you enter the word “davis” in the search bar at our website, then scroll down a bit to look for the three NR Davis catalogs we reprint, I suggest you buy the 1912 issue (best quality of reprint, it is the one to the right of the one circled in green). You don’t mention if yours is a hammer gun or hammerless, but assuming it is hammerless there is a cutaway drawing of the internal parts as well as a flat view of individual parts (the hammer gun has parts but no cutaway). Do you offer a Marbles Game Getter rifle owners manual? Thank you, it’s the rifle with folding wire stock… cub.chva.vg9j2azi (ebay)
Hello, To be honest, I’ve never seen a manual for the little rifle. The 1915 catalog has several pages about it including a paragraph describing the “operation” but that is about it. I suspect they felt that with so few parts a manual was unnecessary. This was the case with many manufacturers and firearms of the era. Cheers, Rob for cornellpubs.

I Would like to order the Enfield No.2 .38 Small Arms Training manual-but I’m based in the UK. Do you ship overseas/ Michael Hurney
Hello Mr. Hurney, No, I’m sorry, UK regulations require us to collect your import duties and taxes, something the two of us just cannot do. I suggest you buy the pdf version and either print it yourself or take it to an office store for them to print and staple. Happy Christmas, Rob

My order for the 1875 Winchester catalog would not complete submission. David Gallaher
Hi David, I’m not certain what went wrong, we’ve had three orders for the same catalog today (the catalog was mentioned in the October, 2023 American Rifleman article by Rick Hacker), so perhaps your order was at the same moment as someone else and that confused the darn program. You could try again or if you would like to call us, I’ll be glad to help. Cheers, Rob

Hello, We sell only reprints, not our originals, sorry. Or were you asking a question about the originality of the weapon itself? Abby
Hello Alfred, I’m not certain which T-Bolt publication you are looking at on our site (enter just “t-bolt” in the search bar to see all publications about t-bolt weapons). Perhaps it is the one I listed below? If yes you can buy either a PDF version or paper (in the US only) by making a selection at the page. If you need help, please call me at 810-225-3075. Hello, can you tell me in the “Marlin Model 90 Over Unders” section, does it make reference to the Model 90 “combination guns”? Some model 90’s were available with a rifle barrel on top of a shotgun barrel. For example 22/410, 218 Bee/410, and 22 Hornet/410.
No, I’m sorry not that I see spot checking from 1940-70s sorry Rob

Hello Paul, Thank you for your note. You should be able to purchase the PDF at our website. It is important to tic the box at the end of the information form to complete the order (I have an order in with our website developer to change that need but she hasn’t do it yet). After you pay there will be a link to download the catalog. I hope this helps, Cheers, Abby
Thanks Rob and Abby, Finally got through and was pleased to find the PDF was even less expensive. All the best to you and your enterprize. – Paul Miles

Order No. 62307. On the 27th October. I have not received it. Would like to know if you have posted it. Cheers. Mrs Acker
Dear Mrs. Acker, You bought a PDF version of the Higgins because we don’t ship overseas any longer. The problem is most countries including NZ require sellers to collect import duties and taxes, each different, then submit reports and receipts. This is something the two of us are just not prepared to do. That is why the manual cost only $8.22 US. I guess you thought it was a print version you bought and didn’t notice the download at the checkout. I’ll send you a new copy using wetransfer.com. If you want a paper copy, take the pdf to an office shop and they can print one for you. Cheers, Rob

I enjoy, and look forward to, your monthly newsletters. Thanks……..LC

United States Cartridge Co. 1916 Ammunition Catalog Is the print readable I’ve gotten some in the past that were blurry deltaridgerabbitranch ebay
Well, it looks good to us, but then blurry is in the eye of the beholder. If you have any reservations, it is best not to buy one of our 6000+ reprints. We do the best we can, but you have to remember many of these publications are over 100 years old and a myriad of quality issues attend some of them. Cheers, Rob Mouat

Belding & Mull 1974-1975 Gun, Reloading and Accessory Catalog I’m curious about this one. The front cover page looks generic. What does original look like? There is Lyman bullet info shown in listing picture not Belding & Mull. ?? Could you provide picture of the index? Is there a page showing “Slide Settings – B. & M. Visible Powder Measure”? A picture would help me verify the dating of this catalog. Thank you akadannyd ebay
