Hey, you don’t seem to ship to Australia, I was wondering if there was any way I could at least get a digital copy of this manual? Thank you – William Bricknall
Hello, We don’t ship outside the US because countries demand we collect their import duties for them which we just can’t do. That said, all our items are marked for eBay international shipping, however, some items seem to have been arbitrarily blocked from the same and nobody can tell me why. So, yes, you can buy pdfs at our website. Rob for cornellpubs

On ebay, do you go by the seller name of “Cornell Publications”, or “cornellpubs”, or some other? I’m looking for an Owner’s Manual for the Smith & Wesson Model 52, and see some offerings which are obviously modern reprints in comb bindings, and immediately thought of you. But I could not find this manual on your home site. If it is you on ebay, I would buy it in a heart-beat. DaleHi Dale, Cornellpubs is simply a contraction of Cornell Publications from back in the day when eBay wanted just a single name of the seller, some 20 years ago. I had to do some digging to find a M52 manual and the attached is all I can come up with. It won’t print like a proper manual without work I just don’t have time for, so here it is as a pdf with our compliments. Cheers, Rob

Ref: Maco Toys & Cap Gun c1952 Catalog Hi- does the booklet have the Maco machine gun No. 250 in it? Thanks, Bruce
None of the toy guns in the catalog are identified by numbers. There are a couple of MGs, an “ACK-ACK” with instructions and one resembling the M1917A1 Water-Cooled called USA MG. Also a carbine. Rob for cornellpubs

Hello, I am looking for the first mention of the Savage high power ctg. in the Ideal catalog. The ctg. came out in 1912..so I am pretty sure it would be in No. 25 the 1914 version..was there a No. 23 or 24? I can’t seem to locate this one. Any info you could tell me would be most appreciated, and I will order that catalog. Thank you. Tim. Gunbroker
Hello, I am looking for the earliest Ideal products manual that lists the .22 Savage High Power ctg. This came out in 1912. the Ideal # 25 is 1914 I believe. was ther an ideal catalog for 1913? 1912 issue probably would be too early. If you could find this catalog, I would gladly purchase. Thank you very much Tim. Website
Hi Tim, I’m sorry, what you see of Ideal catalogs (61 of them) are all we have, we don’t plan to add any more at this time. Cheers, Rob

Are you interested in buying “Interarms original catalog” some with price sheet. All the way back to Thalson 1956 and Interarmco. I own the porcelain letters that were on the warehouse. I also own the sign that was in front of the Interarms business. Edward L Stephens
Dear Mr. Stephens, Thank you, but no, Interarms reprints rarely sell, so we are not adding more years than we have. Also, we have been fortunate in that over the years we have been able to rely mostly on collectors who have lent us their publications to copy and return. Cheers, Rob

We have a collection of American Rifleman magazine, leather bound by year, 1946-2000, and 2001-2023 complete not bound. Is this something that your company would be interested in purchasing? Do you know of groups who may be interested? We are a Friends of the Library and all proceeds benefit our library. Debby
Hi Debby, I am sorry to tell you we hear from folks with collections of AR all the time and we have never found a home for any of them. Sorry again. Best wishes, Abby

Ref: Meriden Gun Firearms Company c1910 Catalog – Sears owned Meriden which made pistols for Sears marked EMPIRE STATE ARMS CO.. I am looking to purchase advertising referencing this Sears 1905 – 1918 catalog or what ever advertising sales material.. reprint of course.. going-gone eBay
The Sears 1908 catalog feature many handguns by different makers, the Aubrey seems to be a line of guns made for Sears but there is no mention of Meriden or Empire that I see. The ’08 is a great reprint with 280 pages of everything- see the partial index. Rob

I am looking for one of your products that details the 1881 Marlin (if one does). I have an 1881 Marlin, 3rd Series, 32-40, set trigger, and looking for some background to keep with the fire arm. I recently purchased one of you products (Marlin June 1897) that listed the 1881, but it had very little included on the 1881. When I received the catalogue, it came with a listing of many more catalogues than listed on GunBroker. Do you have something with more on the 1881? Thank you for your time and efforts.
It is difficult for us to answer questions like yours because catalogs vary about model names over time. For example, the Marlin 1882 catalog has several pages about what I guess is the M1881 because there are no other models listed in the catalog but the catalog doesn’t identify it as and 1881. Also, I don’t know exactly what information you are seeking. So, one idea would be for you to go to our website and buy a couple of the Marlin catalogs in PDF form, they are not expensive and you can see for yourself what they offer. Does that help? Best, Abby

Hello! I am interested in potentially purchasing several of the different Von Lengerke & Antoine catalog reprints you have available. I am specifically looking for any that include duck decoys by the Ward brothers of Crisfield, Maryland in their listings for Decoys. I know that VL&A sold these in the mid-1930s and early 1940s, but I don’t know which catalogs they may be in. Are you able to check and see which, if any, may contain them? Thank you very much, Chad
Hello Chad, I remember looking for these before. The ’36 and ’37 feature “Dewey’s” decoys and the ’40 has decoys but doesn’t give the maker. Rob for cornellpubs

Just a quick hello. I have used your services about five times the last 10 years. You do a wonderful work. However, how come I cannot buy a browning superposed 12 gauge at the 1955 price. If you offer the catalog, I should be able to buy the shotgun at that price. Ah…..well…….maybe: NOT!!! I have read some of the crazy letters you got from knuckleheads. I don’t know how you do it 🙂 Doc

**************************************** Message: I need a owner manual for a Remington Fieldmaster 572 22 pump rimefire. Daniel
Hi Daniel, Here you go. I know things are a bit difficult to find at the website. I searched for “Remington 572” and came up with nothing. Then I went to “Notable Companies” then “Remington” and finally “Remington Manuals”. I scrolled down a bit and there is was. I tell you all this to make it easier to find things in the future. Cheers, Rob

Rob, Abby, I’ve been a working gunsmith for right at 50 years now and really appreciate the work you guys do. I recently came into my possession a most beautifully built , sidelock external hammered, underlever 10 gauge SxS marked as ” SAM ‘L HARPER – LONDON” . There is a bit of artful engraving on the side plates, barrel center rib and trigger guard. The barrels are beautiful Damascus twist steel and 293/4 inches long. The stock is a straight grip design and a very nice piece of English walnut. No dates can be found any where on the gun. I’m sure this is a cottage built gun but in all of my 50 year reference library I can find nothing on the maker. It may have been the only gun he ever made, but I doubt it. The workmanship is too refined. I was just wondering if any of your followers may have encountered other guns made by Mr. Harper or have any knowledge of him. Thanks so much for your time and what you do for our industry and your readers. Cheers, Michael A. Hall, Gunsmith
Hi Michael, No, I don’t have him in any of our reference material either. Closest I can get is a John Harper. I’ll keep your note and put it in the newsletter next month. Best wishes, Abby
Abby, Thanks very much, I appreciate that. It’s getting to be a personal quest to find out about Mr. Sam’ L Harper. In fact I’m only assuming it is Samuel as “Sam ‘L ” was an old way of abbreviating Samuel and that is how it is engraved on this beautiful old gun. Thanks for the help Abby. Cheers, Michael
Hi Michael, Mike Carrick, our goto guy for obscure information found the above reference for your Harper gun. He added, “I believe I have read several times that regional gunmakers sometimes would mark some of their guns ‘London’ just for boosting sales.“ Hope this helps a bit. Cheers, Rob
Rob, Thanks very much for this. This is actually the first info I have ever received on this shotgun. Please pass on my regards and thanks to Mr. Carrick for taking the time to look into this. It is very much appreciated. Thanks to you again, as well. Cheers! Michael

Hi, Charles Greenblatt was my great grandfather. I was wondering if you have ever come across any other catalogs with his name on it or if you have any original catalogs that you’d be willing to sell. Thanks!
In addition to our reprint, there is an original for sale on ebay right now. Check Gunbroker too. ****************************************
Dear Mr. Allen, Abby and I have provided collectors and enthusiasts with reprints of old firearms publications for over 20 years. While we have mostly favorable eBay feedback, we have experienced an unusual number of less than positive feedbacks this year that hurt our sales. Every complaint, however, could have been avoided if the complainer had followed eBay rules and contacted us to give us a chance to address the problem. Your negative feedback is one such complaint. Had we known about the error in printing we would simply have replaced the upside-down catalog. We haven’t blocked you as a buyer and we ask that in the future if you have a problem, with anything we sell, you will contact us before you leave less than positive feedback. Cheers, Rob for cornellpubs.

Cheers, Rob and Abby The End. |
