Winter 1956. Prior to this time the magazine had been monthly. This is the first quarterly edition. Titled: WINTER 1956.

Later editions were titled AMERICAN GUNS. Earlier monthly magazines were called GREAT GUNS. Find them in the alphabetic listings.

Note: The originals were printed with light inks so some of the pages of the reprint is a little hard to read (as were some pages in the original). We did darken the print somewhat but in order to not destroy the images we had to compromise.
